The Expert Forum – Controversies in Trauma Surgery – is a unique opportunity for participants to discuss their clinical problems and experiences with an expert international faculty. The course will employ a new educational format based on specially selected clinical cases in defined clinical areas.
Participants will discuss these cases in moderated small groups and be asked to present their own conclusions.
The session will conclude with a lecture on the state-of-theart management of these injuries by the session moderator. The updated clinical areas to be covered include: humeral
fractures, pilon fractures, joint replacements in proximal femoral fractures, periprosthetic fractures, and tibial plateau fractures. A range of treatment modalities will be explored.
The course is suitable for surgeons with experience in managing these injuries who are willing to share their challenges with an international faculty in a friendly, supportive environment. Application has been made to the EACCME for CME accreditation of this course.
